Actress Taapsee Pannu has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry with her versatile performances. She often gets trolled on social media for her dismissive behaviour with the paparazzi. She recently attended the song launch event of her upcoming film Khel Khel Mein. the makers launched the first song of the film, Hauli Hauli. For the event, they invited many social media influencers as guests as well. While many photos and videos from the event surfaced on the internet, one left fans with mixed reactions.
In the video posted by Bollywood Pap, on Instagram, Ananya Dwivedi approaches Taapsee on the stage. They shake hands and speak to each other. As the influencer raises her phone for a selfie the actress is seen requesting her to not click a selfie with her on the stage. As soon as the video went viral, the influencer expressed her disappointment in the actress. Taking to the comment section of the post, Ananya wrote, “That’s me. And I don’t understand why would someone deny a selfie when you’re already surrounded by cameras and the only reason influencers like me were called is to promote HER song! Well, the snippets of the video also went viral on Reddit, where fans had mixed reactions about the entire incident. While many trolled the 36-year-old actress and termed her a ‘second copy of Jaya Bachchan,’ others came out in her support.
One wrote, “She didn’t do anything wrong, she has no obligation to give a selfie, plus there’s cameras right there for them to take a proper picture.” Another wrote, “To be honest, this is pure entitlement. The influencer has also said in her stories that it was stupid of Tappsee to deny her a selfie. Was she rude in any way? And these influencers also get footage for showing up at such events and maybe some $$ too for promoting movies and stuff.” One commented, “Please stop dehumanising celebrities like this. She can deny a selfi if she wants too.”
On the work front, Taapsee Pannu will be next seen in Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba co-starring Vikrant Massey, Jimmy Shergill, and Sunny Kaushal. The film, which will be released on Netflix, is the second installment of her hit film, Haseen Dillruba. She also has the multi-starrer Khel Khel Mein, co-starring Akshay Kumar, Ammy Virk, Fardeen Khan, and Vaani Kapoor. The film will release on the big-screens on August 15.
